Exercise books were distributed among needy children to encourage them to continue there school education. To promote self studying of English language,English-Sinhala dictionaries were given.

After identifying the difficulties faced byTsunami victims, essential house hold items were provided for them.

05/02/2005 • Distributed 100 kerosene stoves to the Tsunami victims, of the Mattakkuliya area in Colombo.

 

24/05/2005   A Tsunami Aid campaign organised by the MLGF in association with some United Kingdom citizens was held at the Young men’s Buddhist Association, Ratmalana. School bags & mugs along with a Bank account worth 5000/= rupees each were donated to 99 Tsunami affected children stationed at the Ratmalana kothalawalawalapura camp.

29/06/2005  Distributed 1000 roofing Sheets and 100 plastic chairs to the Tsunami victims resident in the Modara Moratuwa area.

There was a  need for spectacles for a large number of adults. Spectacles were given free of charge & contact lenses were also provided to conducted eye test the needy.

An Eye Camp was held in Arangala, Kaduwela. Spectacles were issued to after Eye tests by Eye Specialists for more than one thousand participants.

 

28/08/2005 • An Eye Camp was organized by Mohan Lal Grero Foundation at Oruwela, Kaduwela. Eye Tests were conducted  by Eye Specialists for about five hundred participants.

An Eye Camp was held at Attidiya South, Ratmalana. About four hundred people had their eyes tested.

 
 
 

After identifying Self Employees difficulties in finding a good market, Trade Fairs were organized and stalls were given free of charge to the all island Self Employees.

To over come one of the major problems of youth unemployment in thecountary Mr. Mohan Lal Grero gave a helping hand through the Vocational Training Center.

Certificates and Batik equipment were awarded to the teenagers who successfully completed the Batik training course conducted by the Ratmalana Vocational Training Center.

Cash donations were given after a training course, to the Railway Workers Wives in the Ratmalana / Kothalawalapura area to help them to be Self Employed.

 

To develop youth talents and skills in the sports field, sports goods were provided to Sports Clubs.
