24/05/2005 A Tsunami Aid campaign organised by the MLGF in association
with some United Kingdom citizens was held at the Young men’s
Buddhist Association, Ratmalana. School bags & mugs along with a
Bank account worth 5000/= rupees each were donated to 99 Tsunami
affected children stationed at the Ratmalana kothalawalawalapura
camp.

An Eye Camp was held in Arangala, Kaduwela. Spectacles
were issued to after Eye tests by Eye Specialists for more than one
thousand participants.

at Oruwela, Kaduwela. Eye Tests were conducted by Eye Specialists for
about five hundred participants.

An Eye Camp was held at Attidiya South, Ratmalana.
About four hundred people had their eyes tested.
After identifying Self Employees difficulties in finding a good
market, Trade Fairs were organized and stalls were given free of
charge to the all island Self Employees.
