OUR PASSION BEHIND IT ALL
Why we started this foundation:
Meldrick Lamel Grice was shot on October 29, 2016. This was a devastating loss for the Grice family but also for a community that he loved. Many were filled with grief and saddened by a senseless act of gun violence. Since Meldrick's tragic death at just 30 years old, his mother felt the best way to honor his memory, carry on his legacy and give to the community that Meldrick was passionate about was through, the "Meldrick Lamel Grice Foundation". MLG Foundation supports the health, safety, and well-being of Football Athletics, a passion and community that was near and dear to the heart of Meldrick. This shows us all how important having him on earth was, so we must thank God for sharing him with us for 30 years. Now that his earthly journey is complete we can forever remember Meldrick Lamel Grice, his memory and legacy will live on through this Foundation founded in 2019.

"Meldrick Grice was my beloved nephew, and I witnessed the change he brought about in the many lives he touched. To freely render my skills and services toward the empowerment of our youth would be a true reflection of his character. I humbly continue to carry the torch in touching lives, lifting spirits, and bringing hope, honor, and blessings to the Mac City Vikings".
